December IMA Meeting well attended followed by an enjoyable evening’s networking
Over 60 people attended our IMA Europe December meeting at the Chartered Institute of PR in Russell Square on 11 Dec. This was our best attendance yet as an association. It was a really nice welcoming venue and we were hosted by the BPMA who are based there, and sponsored by Motivate Europe Live.
We had a strong European flavour and the quality of all of the talks were excellent. Brian Dunn, IMA Europe, President? gave a warm welcome and an association update in his usual enthusiastic style. We heard about the Italian incentive market from Andrea Verri, Founder & CEO, Amilon, Italy. We then heard about ‘Lessons for business leaders & innovators who are Going Global’ from Rob Purdy, President & CEO Global Reward Solutions. There was an update on the changing incentives market in Benelux by Gunther Everaert – Managing Director, Swing Group and then Bill Alexander, Managing Director, Red Letter Days gave an overview of some research they have done around user behaviour in the gifting market.
There was an update around the momentum behind the Motivate Europe Live 2015 conference & exhibition from Lucy Clarke, MEL2015 exhibition manager, the launch of the Motivate Europe Live mobile app by Jonathan Angeloni, MEL2015 Social Media Manager. Wendy Carter – Publisher Incentive & Motivation Magazine, gave an overview on the Motivate Europe Live Awards, to be held onboard the Luxury Rover Yacht – the Silver Sturgeon on the evening of 22 April 2015.
We then adjourned to the The Friend at Hand pub, kindly sponsored by Motivate Europe Live. It was a great chance to meet with old friends and some new colleagues and partners for a drink and snacks. There was a good contingent that stayed until midnight.
