IMA Europe brought together the heads of technology of their members which included CEO’s who have a keen interest in technology from across performance improvement industry with representatives from Ireland, UK, Belgium, & Germany. The room was packed with over 20 attending the event that started with a Chinese lunch sponsored by P92 IT Solutions at London’s ExeCel. The roundtable discussion was ‘Recognition Platforms – Build or Buy’. Patrick Withers, Manager of Global Rewards at Grass Roots, and Jonathan Grey, MD Ovation Incentives advocated a strong case for the integration features of a built solution. Nadir Ebrahim, International Director of Achievers, and Fintan Connolly, Head of Global Merchant Acquisition of Globoforce argued the cost-benefits and time to market of a bought SaaS solution. Rupert Poulson, Chairman of AV Corporation summed up the mood of the meeting in that he felt that the arguments were finely balanced and that he remained agnostic about which approach to take for a particular client. The feedback was that the session was very valuable and the delegates wanted to see this forum continuing.
